For many years, all the bread machine recipes that I tried were just those that came with the user manual.
I was young and busy with many other things, I didn’t consider exploring more about baking.
I still rely on my bread machine to always make the dough, including the pizza dough.
I’ve made dough by hand to see how it goes and it turned out great but why bother when I have a fantastic kitchen appliance at my disposal.
They’re actually a considerable number of people who buy a bread maker just for dough making.
All the recipes featured here have been personally tested by me, and made in a Panasonic SD-2500 bread machine and an oven of course.
But they can be done entirely by hand, as well. Each recipe features the instructions necessary for doing it without using a bread maker at all.
Yes, all pictures are real.
However, if you want to really test the capabilities of your bread machine, you should consider getting a bread machine cookbook, there are a lot of excellent bread machine recipes to try out including gluten free recipes, too.
1. Mini Baguettes with Poppy Seeds Recipe
I adore poppy seeds, ever since I was a child and ate them directly from the seed pod.
One time when I made some pita bread, there was a lot of dough leftover so I thought of adding poppy seeds to it, in a nutshell, that’s the whole process.
The shape was supposed to be a baguette but that’s not exactly how it ended up looking, so, I’ll blame it on the image or camera or something.
2. Mini Breads with Oregano, Basil and Parmesan Cheese Recipe
Herbs and Parmesan cheese.
Those are two of my favourite words and the ingredients for some of my most delicious food recipes so, why not add them to bread making, as well.
The only thing I regret is that I only added them on top of the dough before baking it and I didn’t incorporate them in the dough, as well.
You can learn from my mistake.
3. Mini Breads with Olives and Oregano Recipe
This is another case of adding my favourite ingredients to the dough, in this case black olives (you can add whichever type you want, I had black at the time) and oregano.
I thought of making them cute and delicious so I ended up making mini breads, they looked adorable but tasted even better.
4. White Bread: Basic Bread Machine Recipe
The name says it all: this a basic white bread recipe truly for beginners.
It doesn’t get more simple than that.
I still use my bread maker to make my daily bread but I wanted to see how it would be like if I finished the baking in the oven.
Both are great but why put in the extra effort when an appliance can do the whole thing from start to finish.
Thanks to this, I also learned about the importance of scoring the dough.
5. White Bread with Sunflower Seeds Recipe
The basis of this white bread with sunflower seeds bread machine recipe is really simple and straightforward.
I wanted to add an extra ingredient to the basic white bread and I saw some sunflower seeds in the pantry.
That’s it, it was easy to make and the flavour surprised me, I didn’t think that a simple ingredient would make such a difference.
6. Quick Pizza Dough Recipe
Making pizza for the whole family plus friends has always been a big request.
It’s the first recipe for which I’ve used an oven.
Everyone loves it because I always make a lot and I make different ones with different ingredients to suit everyone’s taste.
Thus, this has become one of my beloved bread machine recipes and one of the most used settings.
7. Easy Focaccia Bread Recipe
One of my best-loved breads is focaccia.
My easy focaccia bread machine recipe can be made by anyone, even if you don’t have any prior baking experience.
After all, I’m a bread newbie, if I can do it so can you.
You can even skip some of the ingredients but with all the ingredients that I’ve added (cherry tomatoes, olives, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, rosemary) it will taste almost as good as a pizza.
8. Delicious Pita Bread Recipe
My love of pita bread began in Cyprus but I was so young then that I definitely didn’t consider trying a pita bread recipe at home.
I continued making souvlaki with store-purchased pita bread until I decided to try making it at home.
I don’t know what I was thinking all this time, making pita bread at home is simply delicious, you can’t even compare it with the store-purchased varieties.
More importantly, it’s so easy, anyone can do it, you just need some dough and an oven or a frying pan (it’s easier in the frying pan, in my opinion).
Hope you enjoyed my bread machine recipes, this is just the beginning, there are still more to come so check back soon.
